The continental event will be held in Parana, Argentina, next February. The Americas teams will battle for the four berths available at the WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup 2022 in Auckland, New Zealand.

The world No. 5 Canadian Men’s National Softball Team has unveiled its roster for the 2022 Pan American Championship in Parana, Argentina, next February. The Pan American Championship will serve as a qualifier for the 2022 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup that will take place from 26 November to 4 December, 2022 in Auckland, New Zealand. The top four finishers from the Pan American Championship will advance to the Softball World Cup.

Softball Canada previously announced 12 core national team players this past May, yesterday adding 4 athletes to complete the roster.

Canada’s roster includes 12 veterans of the 2019 world championship bronze medal winning team in Prague, Czech Republic, where the red and white squad reached its third consecutive world championship podium (world champions in 2015, bronze in 2017 and 2019).

The 16 athletes who will represent Canada at the 2022 Men’s Pan American Championship are:

Canada has won a medal in 13 of the 16 previous editions of the WBSC men’s softball world championships, including four world titles - the last one in Saskatoon, Canada, in 2015.
